CONSTRUCTION: Traditionally constructed with white cedar planking and seats,  oak frames, backbone and stem.  Seat risers , guards and sheer strake of mahogany.  Planks are fastened with copper rivets, stem bolts and screw fastenings for seats are of bronze.

 

EQUIPMENT: Custom Sunbrella cover (Tan  colored) with support battens,25’ long three strand painter, Shaw and Tenney oars with leathers, Bronze oarlocks, Oiled teak floor boards, Custom caned /varnished seat back

 

COMMENTS:  This traditionally built  Peapod is virtually brand new; having been lightly used for one season and stored indoors.  It is built to the highest of standards using quality materials.  The  Downeast Peapod is  designed to carry four adults ,is easy to row and very stable; Truly a pleasure to use as a dinghy, small fishing boat or just to row around the harbor.
