COMMENTS: “Hook” has recently gone through a two year refit which has brought this classic up to date. The Leigh 30 is of moderate displacement, falling halfway between the weight of the heavier offshore racers and that of the Colin Archer double enders. The result combines the excellent motion, stability and load carrying ability, but with improved speed, greater maneuverability and less expensive maintenance under a tidier, less expensive and more easily handled sail plan.
