When I reflect on the past thirty years, I realize that I have been involved with just about every aspect of boating…From day sailing and racing to long term cruising and singlehanding blue water adventures. From boat building and service to extensive restorations of many shapes and sizes of vessels.

The recent trend in boat building has been towards larger and larger yachts with more and more complicated systems, rigs and electronics that are supposed to make time on the water easier and quicker for us. I believe that there is a point of diminishing return, sometimes more is less! We see far too many boats sitting idle where the owners have become slaves of their own creations: Spending their free time on the boat doing maintenance and organizing for the crew(s) that has not showed up yet, calling the office with the on board cell phone and frequently checking their e-mail from the new super high-tech nav station. In short, somewhere along the way, they lost sight of the true reason to own a boat…. To escape and get away.

The Pisces 21 is the refinement of a traditional design from times past proving the adage of " the more things change, the more they stay the same". It is time to let water work its wonder: Free yourself and spend quality time sailing by yourself or with friends and family on the most pleasurable boat that I have ever sailed.
